My way of being and leading

I learned the value of “Empowering Others” to be successful from my many years of experience in the corporate world of Financial Services, Information Technology (IT), Projects and Program Management. I embrace the spirit of collaboration and respect for the individual.

Learning to be authentic

Reflecting on my life’s journey during my early years of high school, the focus was on education for purposes of getting to the next level of higher education. What was missing, but I did not know it then, was the concept of “Who we are Matters!”

Life is not a straight path

At university, I set out on a path to study Psychology then I switched courses and engaged in Computer Science. Upon graduation, my career in IT was launched with my first job at General Motors Corporation, IT Department. Five years into my career, I found IT Project Management and Consulting. Through that practice, I got to live by my career values of honesty and integrity, independence, helping my teams and business sponsors to achieve their goals. Over time, I coached and mentored many Project Managers and enabled team members to collaborate, become successful and excel at application software systems delivery.

Learning human behaviour

During my career journey, I have lived in different cities and managed many global projects. In all locations, I was fortunate enough to receive guidance, mentoring and coaching at different times. I learned the value of having a trusted mentor, coach or work colleague to enable growth, personal development and ultimately success in living a purposeful life. I view Coaching as my opportunity to give back in a meaningful way.
